"Five a Day" for Stronger Bones (U.K.)
Most of us have heard of the "five-a-day" rule--eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily to help ward off heart disease, cancer, and a host of maladies. But only about one in four of us actually do that. Here's more incentive to eat our veggies: Scottish researchers report that in addition to calcium, many of the nutrients in produce--such as zinc, potassium, fiber, and vitamin C--contribute to strong bones.
