Dr. Cronin is a trailblazer in naturopathic medicine, a system of medicine that promotes health and treats disease with natural nontoxic therapies.

In 1992, he founded the country's third naturopathic medical school, the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, which is now fully accredited. He is a founding board member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the founding president of the Federation of Naturopathic Physicians Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Cronin has lectured widely on naturopathy at alternative-medicine conferences, medical institutes, universities and businesses.

Dr. Cronin discovered his calling by way of nutrition and endurance running, after he saw what a difference good eating habits made in his athletic performance. Nutrition was not the only modality he explored. "Meditation helped me maintain an internal calm and a clarity of direction," he recalls.

The naturopath married another naturopath, Dr. Kyle Hawk Cronin, and together they established a naturopathic family-practice medical center in Arizona, with an emphasis on pediatrics, acupuncture, and physical medicine (the use of such physical techniques as physiotherapy, therapeutic exercise and massage). In 1987, the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association named Dr. Cronin physician of the year; in 1993, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians did likewise.

Dr. Cronin served from 1997-2001 as director of integrative medicine for American WholeHealth and was senior medical advisor for WholeHealthMD.  He says, "My continuing passion is to assist in the evolution of natural medicine.  I have had the wonderful opportunity to coach, support and enhance the practice skills of our team of alternative practitioners and physicians at American WholeHealth."

Mike and his spouse Kyle now practice in Scottsdale, AZ and reach the public through their website www.integrativehealthcare.com.
