Rice is Nice...
There are few foods that are so universally loved as rice (the Chinese word for "meal" translates as "eat rice"). Luckily, it is also a highly nutritious food; it is a valuable source of complex carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. This is a healthy benefit rarely provided by a beloved food (think of bacon, ice cream, doughnuts). In addition to its nutritional assets, rice is also extremely versatile. There are few foods that can make such a graceful transition from side dish to main dish to dessert.
