Exercise to Prevent Stroke (Norway)
More proof of the benefits of exercise: A Norwegian study of more than 14,000 women found that those who exercised the most (four to five times a week) had a 50% lower chance of dying from stroke than those who did the least (on average, less than once a week). Results were consistent across all age groups of women over the age 50. Exercise helps reduce such stroke risk factors as blood vessel disease, high cholesterol, obesity, and diabetes.
